Exchange Place Spring Garden Fair - Plants, Flowers, Sheep & More! - Kingsport, Tennessee

The Exchange Place is an 1800s farming homestead that used to be a waypoint for The Pony Express. Rider's would be able to trade one horse for another so the rider could continue to deliver the mail while the horses got some rest. Eventually, the farm also became a market for other local farmers to trade or sell goods.

The farm is well known for its Cotswold sheep of which we got to see a few. We also saw chickens, pigs and a really sweet donkey!

The Exchange Place hosted its annual Spring Garden Fair event which I had thought was mostly just a small craft market. Much to my surprise, there were actors in period clothing, all the buildings were open and the place was bustling with activity!

This type of event is the reason we moved to Tennessee!
