Changunarayan Temple ( चाँगुनारायण मन्दिर ) is an ancient hindu temple, located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur District. The hill is about 13km east of Kathmandu. The Manohara River flows beside the hill. The temple is considered to be one of the oldest temple of Nepal which is dedicated to Lord Bishnu and is revered by Hindus.

Changunarayan temple is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. World Heritage Site is a landmark or area with legal protection by an international convention administered by UNESCO. World Heritage Sites are designated by UNESCO for having cultural, historical, scientific or other forms of significance. The sites are judged to contain "cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity".
