3,000 troops deployed to El Salvador’s Apopa in gang crackdown

3,000 troops have been deployed to neighborhoods in Apopa, El Salvador, in a major crackdown on gang remnants in the area. The operation has resulted in the arrest of 18 gang members, local police say.
