In this video, I do some surf fishing at the beach up in NorCal! Before that, Amber and I headed up to San Francisco, CA to check out the Fisherman's Life Street Fair (https://www.facebook.com/events/1994-37th-ave-san-francisco-ca-94116-1169-united-states/fishermans-life-street-fair/964360047668407/). Hopefully, it'll be an annual event and you guys can check it out for yourself in the future, lots of fishing goodies c: Afterwards, we headed over to Pacifica, CA to do some surf fishing. It was a really cold and rough day in terms of fishing, only managed to catch one Walleye Surfperch, but I also included a bunch of simple fishing tips and tricks for safety, surf fishing, and surfperch fishing in general. While it was a slow day of fishing, it was still a nice good day as it's been a while since I managed to go out and do any type of fishing, still had a lot of fun. I do enjoy fishing in NorCal, the waters are very different in both conditions and fish they relatively hold so next time I'll plan more accordingly c:

#firstfishfreedom is a tradition that I started a while back. The basis for this tradition is to release the first fish you catch, regardless of what it is (prized, PB, good eats, maybe even world record someday haha). I will only keep the first fish if it is gravely wounded or gut shotted (and a species I can legally keep). If I keep the first fish, then I will pass on the tradition to the second fish, and so forth. Any day of fishing is a blessing, catching a fish and beating the skunk is another blessing on top of that, so I want to return that blessing and luck back to the fish, so they may live another day, get bigger, and maybe I catch them again in the future c:

Gear Showcase In This Video (These links help support my channel, as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases :D)

https://amzn.to/39dNdHF (Okuma Celilo Salmon/ Steelhead 8'6" Medium, a really good solid beginner rod in my opinion, I'd use it for surf fishing and jetty fishing. Good flexibility for casting far and feeling bites and good reach fishing over rocks for me :D)

https://amzn.to/3ED5ERL (Penn Pursuit III 3000) Choose the correct size for your needs! Clam = Package Type c: This is a good budget reel for beginners, I like the way it handles and it is very comfortable to use. It has great line capacity for 20lb braid so it's a great go-to reel for medium to light setups.

https://amzn.to/3vCCgGX (Fishing Bait Thread, very helpful for securing non-sturdy baits to your hook, highly recommended if you use bait such as mussels!)

https://amzn.to/3Kgo38c (I normally use braided, my default line for general purpose is 20 lb Power Pro Spectra Braided Line, Moss Green. Choose the lb you need for what you're targeting, but you can never go wrong with this brand).

https://amzn.to/3EDRdNh (GoPro Hero9 Black: The GoPro I'm currently using. Great battery life, especially when filming in 1080p. Favorite function is the stabilization option, keeps footage from getting too jumbly :D)

https://amzn.to/3Ou8wov (Berkley Gulp Sandworms, the fan favorite is 2 inch camo color. Phenomenal for surfperch, ease of use and sturdy. Good for Carolina Rig, but you can use it in a high low rig c: You can also buy the 6 inch and break them into 2 inch! Put them in a sealable container)

https://amzn.to/3Ken2x3 (Bait Buttons, useful for keeping your bait on the hook, quick and easy, this one works up to size 4/0 hooks)
