Why Comparison is a Bad Idea...

Comparison to others (whether viewing them as better off or worse off) is most often rooted in pride.

"When pride comes, then comes dishonor; But with the humble there is wisdom."
- Proverbs 11:2

Be prideful = Shame
Be humble = Wisdom

Do improve yourself. But do it for the sake of the good you can do through your improvement, not to view yourself as better than your neighbor.

Remain humble, and work on yourself.
