After the passing of Admiral Byrd his son found his diary and eventually published it. This is a small excerpt from the book titled, The Missing Secret Diary of Admiral Byrd. By Richard Evelyn Byrd. Stranger Things was released on Netflix in 2016. The Duffer Brothers based their series on a conspiracy from 1992, the original story published by Preston Nichols in the book The Montauk Project: Experiments In Time. With the hopes of developing super soldiers like Eleven, the US government implemented decades of psychic experimentation and encountered extra-dimensional beings, invisibility, and time travel. The conspiracy of the Montauk Project begins with an even earlier conspiracy: The Philadelphia Experiment. In the summer of 1943, the USS Eldridge left the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard a skeleton crew and orders to test a top-secret technology meant to render it invisible. However, when the technology was engaged, a green fog emanated from the ship before it briefly disappeared. When the ship reappeared, it revealed a horrific scene. Some men been vaporized; others had fused with the bulkhead of the ship. In 1988, Al Bielek claimed to have been one of the men onboard the USS Eldridge during this experiment. He jumped overboard with his brother and slipped through time, landing in 1983 in Montauk, New York. The Air Force controlled a base there called Camp Hero, and it was here that the Montauk Project took place. Utilizing the SAGE radar, researchers initially experimented with frequencies and their effects on the human mind, similar to the Gateway Tapes. These experiments progressed as the researchers discovered new capabilities from their subjects and equipment. They conducted remote viewing and control experiments, similar to MK ULTRA and Project Stargate. Then, they opened portals through time, sending exploratory crews of soldiers, scientists, and civilians, not dissimilar to the exploration of The Upside-Down. Finally, an extra-dimensional being was manifested through the portal. This creature had a different appearance to each witness, and it likely served as the inspiration for the Demogorgon. Atomic Veterans Were Silenced for 50 Years. Now, They're Talking. No hype, no narration, no music, just the accounts of the people who were there. “It was completely daylight at midnight—brighter than the brightest day you ever saw,” says another. Many tales of the atomic bomb, however, weren’t told at all. In addition to the hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians who died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, an estimated 400,000 American soldiers and sailors also observed nuclear explosions—many just a mile or two from ground zero. From 1946 to 1992, the U.S. government conducted more than 1,000 nuclear tests, during which unwitting troops were exposed to vast amounts of ionizing radiation. For protection, they wore utility jackets, helmets, and gas masks. They were told to cover their face with their arms. After the tests, the soldiers, many of whom were traumatized, were sworn to an oath of secrecy. Breaking it even to talk among themselves was considered treason, punishable by a $10,000 fine and 10 or more years in prison. In Knibbe’s film, some of these atomic veterans break the forced silence to tell their story for the very first time. They describe how the blast knocked them to the ground; how they could see the bones and blood vessels in their hands, like viewing an X-ray. There are many maps that clearly show the name 'Chilaga' in the exact same location as where Chicago would be 250 years prior. The "brimstone and fire" raining down is often interpreted as a divine punishment. The idea of it being an "atomic warfare" is an interpretation by mainstream biblical scholarship and others. PHYSICAL EVIDENCE OF ATOMIC WARFARE HAS BEEN DISCOVERED ALL OVER THE WORLD In 1952 archaeologists conducting excavations in Israel discovered a layer of fused green glass. The layer was a quarter of an inch thick and covered an area of several hundred square feet. It was made of fused quartz sand with green discoloration, similar in appearance to the layers of vitrified sand left after atomic warfare tests in Nevada in the 1950s. Five years earlier a thin layer of the same glass was dug up below the Neolithic, Sumerian and Babylonian strata in southern Iraq. To the south, the western Arabian desert is covered with black rocks that show evidence of having been subjected to intense radiation. These broken and burned stones are called "harras" that are strewn over an area of 7,000 square miles. "Some single fields are one hundred miles in diameter and occupy an area of six or seven thousand square miles, stone lying next to stone so densely packed that passage through the field is almost impossible. The stones are sharp-edged and scorched black. No volcanic eruption would have cast scorched stones over fields as large as the harras. The jewel was tested and found to be glass, but surprisingly it is older than the earliest Egyptian civilization. The glass, known as Libyan Desert Silica Glass, covers a large area measuring about 30 miles east and west by 80 miles north and south and is located on the Libyan-Egyptian border. It is 28.5 million years old and shows a grade of transparency and purity (99 percent) that is not typical in the fusions of fallen meteorites.
