Slovak PM taken to hospital after assassination attempt, awaits surgery

Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico was shot and wounded in the town of Handlova - multiple shots were fired at the politician as he greeted the public after a government meeting. He is now in hospital, awaiting a srugery, his condition is believed to be serious.
