VA8 Dems and GOP, in Collusion (?), Elect Right to Remain Silent on Congressional Nominee Primaries?

[FOB Freedom, May 3, 2024] Any station? Any station? Do you read? Over.

Live from the world’s newest banana republic. . .

Cherry blossoms are fading away across the Potomac, displaced by political yard signage in front yards and scattered on medians as the early election period kicks off, but both major parties are electing a right to remain silent on their candidates competing, or not competing, in those nomination primaries, and some are asking the great existential question: Why? Have they been offered a bribe to keep things under wraps, as it were?

Not even Arlington GOP, with their globetrotting chairman, Matthew Hurtt, making appearances on Fox News, offering classes at the Leadership Institute, and stumping across the state to talk about “our values” is saying anything about three candidate hopefuls who, like Zig Ziglar’s auntie’s muffins, started out on the rise and got cooked in the squat, so unknown that their efforts even to begin, with the noble exception of the controversial Heerak Christian Kim, making even a headline or mention on social media. Perhaps a thousand qualifying signatures in the most reliable Democrat Party congressional district in the entire Commonwealth is too much of a challenge for the party that had lost control of the congressional seat in 1990, the most expensive political contest in state history to that date, when Jim “The Intimidator” Moran seized Democrat Party control, in a district growing more progressive every year, bounding from D+15 in 2016 to D+21, after the incumbent Don Beyer had defeated the former environmental consultant Charles Hernick, the Republican poster child for that “most conservative value”, climate change.

But while Hernick may have been a little disappointed not to realize his dreams of immediately becoming Chairman of the nonexistent Climate Change Committee in Congress, as he had boasted in a Reddit Ask Me Anything on his birthday in June 2016, at least he was able to become a director in a climate change think tank, a good consolation prize for breaking the all-time record for Republican losses in a presidential election year in VA8. But apparently not even the pro concentration camps graduate of the Georgetown University graduate program on nursing may get that chance to add a bullet to his resume for a better job.

And no rational person does anything for nothing, right? Unless maybe Don Beyer decided to “he’p a brotha out”, tossing a bone to his fellow Jesuit high school alumnus, the pesky independent, Major Mike Webb. And, for Andrew Carrol, and his law firm just outside the Alexandria Circuit Courthouse, right there in the courtyard, that may be the criminal defense argument for his client, luxury automobile mogul Don Beyer, Jr., who had, as U.S. Ambassador often confused the embassy where he worked with “The Dealership”, while one former Jeopardy contestant prosecutor, Bryan Porter works on putting heads to sleep and punishing the competition, after his confidence he had been doing something right, prevailing in unopposed elections, was shattered by some cases brought by a passionate litigation hobbyist’s inscrutable and unintelligible complaints.

Friendship and connections appears to be the theme in Old Town, where Porter had made the argument, regarding even felonies, that no court could compel him to do anything, even if, God forbid, his fellow VCU alum mayor had committed cold-blooded murder or heinous acts of terror, which did not even raise a concern at the Alexandria NAACP who had joined their state headquarters in suing Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin for not relaxing restoration of franchise rights for convicted felons, apparently prosecuted in an absolute and plenary prosecutorial discretion, but at least Arlington NAACP has some problems regarding de facto segregation which they believe to be illegal, which would prohibit Black Protestant churches and HBCUs from existing. And some are suggesting that Beyer just reach out and grab his old buddy, the guns-blazing and internationally notorious porn tab guy, albeit now forgotten by residents in NOVA who see him knocking at their door soliciting signatures to qualify for the ballot in NOvember as an independent, and confess: I just broke a few hiring practices in the civil service system to provide some affirmative action for a friend who ain’t really Black. It may be the only option to avoid being disqualified from serving in public office, if not impeached by his fellow members in Congress.

“Well, Howard, you know, in the event that my good friend Don Beyer is convicted of a felony, I will be right there beside the old reliable and dependable NAACP to make sure he gets his franchise rights restored, and encourage loddy body and everybody to purchase a luxury automobile from Don Beyer. Why send your kids to private and parochial school when you could be riding in style? And, why should you have to be the one inconvenienced by global climate change? ” quipped Webb.

Your elected representative is called your elected representative for a reason; and Martin Luther King and Jesus never got elected.
