A Vessel Unto Honor: What it means to serve God

Summary:
One of the hardest things we must do as believers is give a self-assessment. Paul says to examine ourselves, and if we take a good, hard look, we often find areas that need improvement. How you walk and carry out your service is between you and the Lord, but we are called to admonish one another as iron sharpens iron. God desires that we be vessels to His honor and purge ourselves from the vessels of dishonor. Today, we examine ourselves to see whether we are, in fact, a vessel unto honor.

The Bible says that Satan, the god of this world, blinds the minds of those who believe not and that they are his captives! The only hope these have to escape is if we serve Christ to preach the gospel unto them, not striving but using gentleness and meekness, living our lives as vessels unto honor. Are you willing to serve for a crown? Would you reign with Christ when He returns? Does He want us to press toward that reward? Will we be partakers of the fruit of our labor? Are we willing to be a vessel unto honor for Christ?
