Is it better to be lucky or good? AKA: The Tree Bass

While fishing with Rick in the Old Town PDL Kayaks, I was casting a weightless soft plastic Burner Worm up to the shore. I was then reeling it back across the dollar pad mats in the hope of catching bass. I saw a small window through some overhanging tree branches that I was absolutely certain had a bass or two at the back of it. When I made a cast to the spot, the lure sailed a little.
