Fix your Redbubble greeting cards & postcards! Here's a quick tip for making more money on Redbubble. I've seen many artists (including myself) do this: leaving white edges on Redbubble postcards and greetings cards. Even if cards aren't a best seller product for you, Redbubble will show random products on your shop page and some of those might be cards that have white edges on them and make your shop page look unprofessional. So, let's fix it and make your shop look better by removing the white edges from your artwork on Redbubble cards! Tutorial on how to edit scanned, traditional art in GIMP 2.10 for art prints. #GIMP is a free image editing software. This is an updated version of my older video, where I used a different version of GIMP, although most of the basic things you need to edit your scanned artwork have not changed. New repeat pattern tutorial! I'll show you how I edit the scanned amaryllis flower drawing from last week's video and turn it into a seamless repeat pattern in GIMP for print on demand sites such as Redbubble and Society6. You could just upload the edited image as is to Redbubble and use the tiling tool there to make a diagonally repeating pattern. However, we can the repeat pattern a bit more interesting by adding two versions of the same image into the pattern. This could be a mirror image, a tilted image or a colored silhouette, for example. I'll show you how to make seamless repeating patterns in GIMP. I'm scanning a watercolor painting, editing the scan in GIMP, turning it into a repeating pattern also in GIMP and uploading it to my Redbubble shop. I've made two similar videos before about making a repeating pattern in GIMP. This one differs from them in that the painting has a background so you have to do blending, but other than that, it's the same process. And click offset. Now you can see the edges between the repeated images. We have to blend those in so that the pattern looks seamless. I'm using the clone tool and making the brush size bigger and then choosing the area I want to clone by pressing down ctrl and clicking the part I want to copy. I'm also decreasing the opacity to make the blending smooth. And then I'm just painting over the harsh lines I want to blend out. When I think I'm done with the clone stamping, I'm gonna fill out the empty area in the middle. I open another copy of the edited painting and cut out two eggs with the free select tool, I copy them by pressing ctrl C and go back to the repeating unit and paste them with ctrl V. I'm also using the rotate tool to turn them in different positions so they don't look too similar to the original eggs I copied. I also turn the eggs into new layers. I export the whole thing as a PNG to make sure the extra eggs are included in the image.
