Fairy tales are important for many reasons. One reason is because fairies are real! Are there physical Tinkerbells fluttering around in the forest when you aren’t there? Maybe, maybe not. But there is life in the earth, the stones, the plants, the flowers, the trees, the sky. Fairies are a spiritually scientific way of naming this. Young children are more connected to the unseen than adults are. Reading fairy tales to young children, with reverence, is an affirmation of the truth. Spending time with young children, and treating them with reverence, brings you into the fairy tale world. You develop your intuition and get connected with the unseen in nature. It’s a reward. It’s what some may call “eco-spirituality”. It’s what comes about when families connect with each-other and with nature.Show more
