Mother Nature has created all her creatures with their own distinct purpose. When seeing the greater picture, they keep the balance. But with humans being so widespread across the planet, some creatures have a tough time keeping their own balance, so they just keep popping up on people’s properties, ultimately posing a danger to their own lives and the lives of humans.

In many regions people have become so accustomed to seeing wild animals in their own backyards, that they know how to handle them. Either try and scare them off, let them go about their way or call the local nuisance or wildlife rescuers. But when it comes to snakes, unless they are literally inside your house, it is better to leave them alone. Just like this person did when they saw a snake in the bushes in front of their house, doing something rather unusual for a serpent - birdwatching!

"I was just walking around the side of the house, and a little bird flew down beside me and got my attention. As I watched the birds fly on a branch beside the hedge I noticed a head sticking up from the hedge. It looked like a stick at first! I have seen many snakes but never one trying to hide while waiting for food like that one was,” said the owner of this video. It was rather impossible to spot at first, but you will see it eventually.

For those of you unfamiliar with the species, it is called a Queen snake, a non-venomous serpent native to the North American continent. They are known by many names, but the “queen snake” moniker is the most familiar.
