Election Results for California Congressional District 39 (David Serpa vs Mark Takano)

The 39th District of California was considered un-winnable because there are 24% more Democrats than Republicans.

The top two in the Jungle Primary face one another in November…

After 11 months of knocking on 19,000 doors, and doing dozens of interviews and events, we cut that lead by 13%.

I got closer to Congressman Takano than any candidate has in 12 years.

I’m now the Republican Nominee in the 39th District and will face Mark Takano on November 5th.

We still need to make up 11% to win! (About 10,000 votes).

While running for Congress, I was NOT endorsed by the Riverside Republican Party, despite being the only Republican in the race.

I became aware of how dysfunctional the local GOP had become and decided to run for a volunteer position in the Central Committee in addition to running for Congress.

The top 6 are elected to a four year term in the Central Committee.

I got the highest percentage of ANY Republican, or Democrat, in 7 districts running for Riverside County Central Committee.
