Good news: "Kishoreganj Economic Zone" is starting soon in the Haor region.

The first economic zone in the Haor region, known as the Kishoreganj Economic Zone (KEZ), is set to start operation soon. The Indian Tata Group will begin production of their pickup trucks in this economic zone next month.

It has been announced by Tata's local partner in Bangladesh, Nitol-Niloy Group, that 2,000 pickup vans will be produced annually in the factory, which has been built at a cost of 600 crore taka.

Tata has invested nearly 500 crore taka for this venture. All preparations, including machinery, have already been completed. Apart from selling in the Bangladeshi market, Tata Group also plans to sell pickups in other countries including Sri Lanka.
