The 2024 hunting year begins with a turkey scouting trip

Limited Entry Turkey starts next weekend, and I wasn't able to get any scouting done until this weekend. On one day, I took my daughter with me, on the next day, I went solo like I usually do. We didn't find any turkey's, but I have my hunch's on where I might find them, and it's going to involve a lot of hiking.

This hunting year is going to be super busy. For me, LE turkey, pretty sure I'll draw a muzzy deer tag, and my usual multiseason elk tag. On top of that, my wife got her hunting license and will be hunting general season turkey, with a very good chance of drawing a deer rifle tag. On those hunts, I will be playing the role of "hunting guide". Successful or not, one thing is for sure, THIS year, will be a long year on the mountain.
