How Do We Age? Breakthrough New Probe Sheds Light
New research helps to understand the aging process better and develop new strategies to reverse the degenerative processes associated with aging.
A collaborative effort involving researchers from the Universitat Politècnica de València, Universitat de València, the CIBER divisions of Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), and Neurodegenerative Diseases (CIBER-NED), along with the Centro de Investigación PrÃncipe Felipe (CIPF), has led to the development of an innovative probe for detecting senescent cells in urine. This breakthrough could enhance our understanding of aging processes, facilitating the monitoring and development of new strategies to counteract degenerative aging-related conditions. The findings were published in Nature Communications.
