Kwebbelkop and his insane AI obsession

Jordi Maxim van den Bussche (born: June 1, 1995) has become one of the world's most successful gaming YouTube channels under the pseudonym Kwebbelkop, accumulating over 7 billion views and 15 million subscribers playing a variety of games to entertain young viewers, such as Minecraft, Roblox and Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V). Until 2019, he was also a frequent collaborator with other gaming channels within the Robust gaming trio, namely Jelly and Slogoman.

However, recent career moves he has made have polarised many members of his community due to the heavy involvement of artificial intelligence within his content creation. For example, in April 2021, Kwebbelkop deleted a video from a channel of a former collaborator known as Liger on a channel he ran for them titled 'Tiger,' after without permission, he decided to use a GPT-3 AI language model to impersonate him and content farm during his extended hiatus. Moreover, since August 2023, Kwebbelkop and his organisation JVDB Studios have publicised their controversial efforts to push their own AI model of Kwebbelkop that will eventually be able to replace Jordi in the content creation process by being able to play games and do live commentary. Critics online, such as Optimus and AugustTheDuck, have argued making such a move would be detrimental to the spirit of YouTube in which content creators can form a controversial connection with viewers.

In this video, we discuss Kwebbelkop's newfound obsession with AI, and react to his latest updated venture on Twitter (now X) - because it's really bad.
