Desperate Humanitarian Crisis: Yemen's Starving Children
3 months ago
6
Yemen is currently facing the most severe humanitarian crisis in the world, as recognized by the United Nations. A staggering 80% of the population is in desperate need of assistance. Among those affected, children are the most vulnerable and bear the brunt of the crisis, facing a heightened risk of malnutrition and its long-lasting effects. The statistics regarding malnourished Yemeni children are deeply troubling. According to UNICEF, approximately 2.3 million children under the age of five in Yemen are suffering from acute malnutrition, with 400,000 among them facing severe malnourishment and the imminent threat of death.
