*Audio feedback loop in the first minute or so, I eliminated it as soon as I realized it* Apologies. I'll try to pay more attention in the future.

Join us Tuesday March 26th at 7 PM Central to meet Timothy Stabosz, candidate (R) for La Porte County Commissioner, ask any questions you may have, and get to know the person behind the headlines.

Tim has been an outspoken critic of certain La Porte County personalities and policies. For some, he's a controversial figure that makes the job harder than it has to be, speaking out when there are those that wish he'd be silent. He's been on the front page more than once, with calls for his resignation, lawsuits, and more. For others, he's a lone voice of reason in a sea of "seedy underbelly" politics, calling out corruption and insisting on accountability and transparency by demanding itemized bills so that the public knows exactly how our tax dollars are being spent.

Is he doing what's right for We The People, or is it just a power trip?
Bruce Wayne or Harvey Dent?
Is he more Batman or Two-Face?
Tune in and find out!

We ask all of our guests to send us a bio, and here is what we were sent:

"Timothy (Tim) Stabosz is running in the May 2024 Primary Election for La Porte County Commissioner, District 2, currently held by Richard Mrzoniski. Tim feels compelled to run to fight the corruption and abuse of power that currently occurs in county government, from no-bid contracts, intimidation, abuse of power, and the list goes on. Tim wants to bring back openness, honesty, and integrity to the county and the position of County Commissioner. Tim is a fighter for the residents of La Porte County and cannot be bought or intimidated by those seeking to run the show behind the curtain. His campaign slogan is simple and reflects this: Vote for Tim because you deserve better.

A 1990 graduate of DePaul University, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and spent two years as a federal credit union auditor. He has spent the last 30+ years in the financial industry and has earned significant experience and success as an investor and entrepreneur. Tim served two terms as a LaPorte City Councilman (Tim was on the Financial Committee for both terms), and in 2020, he was elected to the office of County Auditor, aka the Chief Financial Officer of LaPorte County. He is also a member of the Parents Television & Media Council, a nonprofit and nonpartisan research and education organization advocating for responsible entertainment and the protection of children and families from graphic sex, violence, and profanity in the media, and was the Chairman of the Board until December 2023 ( www.parentstv.org ).

Originally from Chicago, Tim moved to LaPorte after falling in love with his “adopted hometown”. A historical home aficionado, Tim is the proud owner of a home designed by the architect Franklin Burnham, whose most prominent commission is the Georgia State Capitol. Tim also spends his free time restoring pinball machines, driving his classic car, and participating in vocal performances."
