Russia recently witnessed one of the deadliest attacks in decades. Assailants dressed in camouflage uniforms opened fire and reportedly threw explosives inside Moscow’s Crocus City Hall, killing over 130 people. While ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, U.S. officials blamed ISIS-K, an ISIS affiliate that operates in central Asia, which has become one of the region’s most brutal and feared terror groups. The U.S. also claims that it has received a stream of intelligence that ISIS-K was determined to mount an attack in Russia. So what is ISIS-K? And why is the group, which mostly launches attacks in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran , now attacking Russia? Watch the latest edition of World@War for all the details.
