"King on the Cross", (Matt 27:27-44), 2024-03-24, Longbranch Community Church

Join in as Pastor John Day reminds our Longbranch Community Church family that the world will always mock the cross. He uses Matthew’s account (27:27-44) to highlight the disdain, mockery, and shame of Jesus’ crucifixion. In v.46 Jesus then calls out “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”

But the fact remains: “If” Jesus truly was/is the Son of God, …his crucifixion and resurrection changed literally “everything”. The choice each and every sinner needs to make is Jesus is either: “all – or he is nothing/nobody at all.” We, at LCC believe: #1) there is no other than Jesus, #2) there is no other way than through Jesus, and #3) Jesus shows us the way through his inerrant, infallible Word.

*For those in a hurry, today’s sermon begins at the 32minute / 07second mark.
