NEW Joker 2 Update | Being a Musical is NOT a Terrible Idea

It’s been reported the Todd Phillips Joker sequel staring Joaquin Phoenix, Joker: Folie à Deux, will be a jukebox musical featuring 15 covers in addition to original songs.

This is a departure from the first movie which was a gritty character study centered around the origins of Batman’s most well known adversary. However, such a bold move by the talent behind this sequel could serve for the betterment of the film by not just making it a retread of the first movie. However, the huge budget behind this sequel is still a tough hill for the studio to climb.
