This one would be a bit on the heavy side in the, ”recomp” Category with 70Kcal, 16g Carb and 15g Sugar per 2Tbsp Serving.

These higher calorie, higher sugar sauces I use if I’m feeling kind of run down, really pushing the training volume or getting a bit too lean getting into the single digits. Since I’ve developed a high level of insulin sensitivity, a little more sugar has a tremendous effect on my glycogen stores, with a concomitant attenuation of fatigue similar to, but without the downsides of, a “cheat meal.” This is part of what I do instead to keep things rolling along.

Switching up sauces is one way I break up the monotony by keeping the nutrition portion of my meals relatively unchanged from lean meats and veggies but still having a variety of taste options.
