It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of the legendary Canadian musician Robbie Robertson today, at the age of 80. From his early days with The Band to his influential solo work, Robbie Robertson's contributions to the world of music are immeasurable. Through songs like "The Weight" and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" to his later solo hits like "Somewhere Down the Crazy River," every phase of his career has left an indelible mark on classic rock music.
