The mission of the Women For Gun Rights is to raise awareness among community members, including legislators, that firearms safety and violence prevention are achieved through EDUCATION, not legislation; to encourage the PRESERVATION of America’s gun culture from conservation and commerce to competitive sports, hunting, and self-defense; and to highlight the diversity and rising demographic of female gun owners through ongoing ADVOCACY.

Cindy Zumwalt is the Northwest Regional Director for Women for Gun Rights, formerly DC Project.

Formerly anti-gun, Cindy is now a strong advocate for firearms education and safety with a goal to empower herself and others. In addition to actively contributing to training events with “A Girl and A Gun”, she is a passionate supporter of our Second Amendment.

Her ongoing interest in current and proposed gun laws benefits her when teaching others to understand and appreciate their constitutional right to protect themselves and their families. In addition to helping women gain skills and confidence with firearms, Cindy enjoys recreational shooting in her spare time and is also the North West Regional Director for Women for Gun Rights.

Cindy is a facilitator and runs the Salt Lake Chapter of A Girl and Gun and is a Firearms Instructor.  When not training at the range or educating others, Cindy continues her career as a controller. She also enjoys camping, traveling, and spending quality time with her grandkids.

Susan Myers is the Missouri State Director for Women for Gun Rights. She is a 2A Advocate, testifying on firearms related bills heard in the Missouri Legislature, with the goal of ensuring the female firearms owner’s perspective is expressed and on record. She is a Chapter Leader for Armed Women of America, Church Safety Team Head, Church Secretary, wife, mother of two grown men and a grandmother.

Barb Miller is the Colorado State Director for Women for Gun Rights. She is a health care executive, small business owner, community volunteer, hunter, wife, mother, & grandmother. She is also the Facilitator for two Chapters of A Girl & A Gun Shooting Organization, an NRA & USCCA Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and Refuse To Be A Victim Instructor.

Her business, High Calibre Gear LLC, was born to bring the world of firearms training to women – the fastest growing demographic of firearms owners.
As a professional instructor, she is meeting a tremendous demand for gun safety education by women. She says, “Women are becoming their own first responders as well as enjoying the shooting and hunting sports."

As the Colorado State Director, she actively works with legislators on all levels about 2A issues, testify on bills at the Colorado State Legislature, and presents at regional and national conferences and rallies. Barb believes our voices and actions ARE making a difference.
