Burning plane caught on camera before crash

Footage has been shared online of an IL-76 aircraft on fire over Russia’s Ivanovo region before it crashes. According to initial reports, an engine fell off during an emergency landing. Separate footage shows the plane during its descent, and an object can be seen falling from it.
Emergency responders rushed straight to where the plane is thought to have crashed, near Ivanovo airfield. The Ministry of Defense has confirmed that there were eight crew members and seven passengers on board, and that the cause is thought to have been a fire in one of the engines during takeoff.

The pilots were confirmed to have died in the crash; regional governor Stanislav Voskresensky has sent condolences to their families. The other passengers' fates are not yet known.
