A Decentralized Election Process | CPAC | Hans Von Spakovsky
“We’re in better shape today than we were in 2020, but also that depends on what state you’re in. We have a very decentralized election process. Some states are very good at this. Other states are not.” Hans von Spakvosky, an American Attorney, a former member of Federal Election Commission (FEC), and Senior Legal Fellow from Heritage Foundation, joined AMAC on Broadcast Row at CPAC to talk about the state of America’s election process. Spakovsky covered the intricacies of the American electoral system compared to other Western nations, where state’s rights make the election process different throughout the country. While some states use that power in nefarious ways, it helps prevent a rogue federal government from mandating chaotic election procedures nationwide.
