Show notes:

• Negative self-assessment often stems from internalized assessments from others rather than being self-generated.
• Potential follows perception; negative self-perception can limit one's potential.
• Having direction and control is essential for personal growth and success.
• Immersing oneself in a positive social environment can influence self-perception and behavior positively.
• Learning to program oneself is crucial; otherwise, others will influence and shape one's beliefs and actions.
• Resisting the gravitational pull of negative influences requires creating and maintaining positive habits.
• Self-belief and self-perception significantly impact behavior and outcomes in life.
• It's essential to recognize that others' opinions of us are relative and not necessarily reflective of reality.
• Continuous self-awareness and effort are needed to overcome negative self-perception and thrive.

1 Negative self-assessment

not worthy, not deserving, not likable
is it really "self" (VICARIOUS)
alone in the jungle

2 Potential follows perception

3 You need to have direction and control

Drive a car without the steering wheel

4 Immerse yourself in the environment

Hang out with; birds of a feather
vs wrong crowd

5 Program yourself, not others

change yourself; not others
back to the driving analogy: you steer your car

6 Default is others (gravity)
If you're not flying, you're crashing

Driven by their program

7 Create habits
