A UK auction house has cancelled the sale of an Ethiopian shield taken from the country by British soldiers in the 19th century, after the art dealer faced pressure from the East African country's government. The Abyssinian shield, which the country considers a vital part of its cultural heritage, was allegedly looted during colonial times.
