"Twilight Time," written by Artie Dunn, Al Nevis, Morty Nevins and Buck Ram, was the Platters' 3rd of 4 number 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart landing at the position in 1958 (Whitburn, 2013). Their version also "hit #1 Best Seller, #1 Jockey, and #1 R&B for three weeks steady" (songfests, 2024). The song was originally recorded in 1944 by the Three Suns as an accordion based instrumental (the78prof, youtube, May 22, 2019).
