“Reaping What You Sow”
9th In our series the Prophet Micah

I. While the Wicked devise Crimes, God devises Justice - Micah 2:3-4
* A. The plots of the wicked will be turned against them
* 1. They plot to steal land - Micah 2:1-2
* a. The wicked example of King Ahab - 1 Kings 21:1-3, 7-8, 13-16, 19-22
* b. Coveting, led to plotting, then conspiring, then murder and theft of Naboth’s vineyard
* 2. God devises a war that will take their land from them
* B. God deals with the crime family
* 1. God views nations as families - Genesis 10:1-5
* 2. Diversity is not the strength of a nation - Daniel 2:41-42

II. Why is the Punishment of the Wicked Delayed?
* A. The mercy of God - 2 Peter 3:9
* 1. Not willing that any perish, God gives the wicked time to repent, believe and receive Jesus Christ as Savior
* 2. There comes a time when mercy is at an end, the final judgment on earth - Revelation 19:1-3, 11-15
* B. In the temporal world God’s judgment also falls - Micah 2:3-5
* 1. When judgment falls it cannot be avoided
* 2. It destroys the proud
* 3. It brings down everything which made that nation - Joshua 14:1-2; 15:1, 12-13
* 4. God will use traitors from within a nation to accomplish the judgment
* 5. In the end, those stealing property will:
* a. Have no one to determine property boundaries
* b. No representation in the assembly of the LORD
* C. The reality that evil times will come urges all men everywhere to repent while the daylight remains
