* ✦  B. Speak the truth of God’s Word calling upon the civil magistrates to repent of their sins
* 1. God’s Law speaks to the limits on civil government
* 2. Jesus gave the command “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s"

* ✦ A. The preeminent example is the man Saul - Ephesians 1:1
* 1. Born and raised in the strictest Jewish traditions - Philippians 3:4-6
a. His parents adhered to every stricture of the law
b. Saul had an impeccable Jewish pedigree
c. As an adult he followed every requirement of piety in the Pharisaical system
d. He even extended this to his zeal in persecuting the disciples of Jesus Christ - Acts 7:58-8:3; 9:12.
* 2. He was personally confronted by Jesus - Acts 9:3-6
a. He repented, believed and received Jesus Christ
 b. Many still mistrusted him due to his history of persecuting Christians - Acts 9:19-27
* ✦ B. Saul was a man made new and his name was changed to Paul
* 1. Paul calls himself chief of sinners - 1 Timothy 1:15
* 2. Paul was commissioned by God to take the Gospel to the Gentiles - Romans 15:16
a. While God can save to the uttermost some put themselves beyond reach
b. Pharaoh hardened his heart as well as those who take the mark of the Beast - Revelation 14:9-11
