Keir Starmer won’t be happy with David Lammy’s awful admission!

David Lammy's interview with Laura Kuenssberg on the matter of this weeks SNP Gaza ceasefire vote was a car crash!
Right, so the SNP have stated that they are going to bring a new ceasefire vote to the commons and considering where things are now compared to the last ceasefire vote they brought last November, with the vast majority of the Gazan population pretty much huddled up in Rafah, cornered and with nowhere left to go, it is more critical than ever that western leaders wake up to the consequences of this.
Of course what the last SNP ceasefire vote did do, was expose the splits within Starmer’s Labour, with 10 of his MPs resigning their shadow cabinet posts and numerous other MP’s voting with their consciences and against Starmer’s official line, rancid as that was.
You would imagine therefore, that news of another vote coming up, would make Labour think twice about abstaining. The vote is coming this week, it was possibly going to be held off until the following week, since opposition day debates are always held on Wednesday’s and the Rochdale by-election is that Thursday, however with Labour having been forced to pull their candidate, for daring to have an honest opinion of the events leading up to October 7th, that likely lost it’s impact and is now going to come this week. Will Starmer once more show he’s on the side of Israel rather than the side of what is right and just and humane and whip his MP’s to abstain again? Well, despite the spin of the mainstream media this morning, David Lammy might have given the game away, that abstaining is exactly where Labour are going.
Right, so this week most likely, we’re going to see another opposition day debate and vote on a ceasefire brought by the SNP, functionally the actual opposition in parliament these days, since Labour might as well be sharing the Tory government benches for all the difference they make under the MP for Zionism, Keir Starmer. Last November, Starmer’s Party was split down the middle on this issue, with many Labour MPs refusing to be as blatantly appalling as Starmer and his hangers on, and voted with the SNP motion to call for a ceasefire. It was never going to pass, the Tories were always going to vote against it and Starmer, already with a reputation for having an a*se full of splinters for all his sitting on the fence, ordered the rest of his MP’s to do likewise. Many didn’t, including 10 shadow ministers who quit their roles to vote with the SNP. There are many and varied reasons for this in some cases. For some on the left, the SCG MP’s this was a matter of principle and standing up for what is right, for others, like Jess Phillips, it was about he fact they have a very large Muslim voter demographic and were terrified of losing their seats and you can’t have a shadow cabinet role, if you aren’t in parliament and hoping Starmer might put you in the Lord’s to get around that isn’t a guarantee.
Now all of that hasn’t changed.
