A Boy Named Reid, is a true story about an eight year old boy’s childhood trauma.  In this book for children, Reid Anderson tells his story, with his words, to explain how his accident happened, as if looking through a child’s eyes.

And, how the quick reactions of a loving mom, first responders, doctors, and nurses, saved his life, and most of his hand, except for two fingers, that were lost to the tragedy.

Reid tells about his journey back to health, and how he learned to use his hand again, to write letters, tie his shoes, play ball, do sports, and even play guitar!

And Reid wants everyone to know that with some creativity and hard work, and with the love and help from family, friends, and those who care…
