Grandson Records Original Country Song Written By His Grandma

This is the heartwarming moment one elderly woman receives the surprise of a lifetime when her loving son Robert and grandson Travis present her with a thoughtful gift! Footage occurred on December 23, 2017 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, USA and shows the emotional moment on camera.

A grandmother from Mountain Home, Arkansas couldn’t believe her ears when a song she wrote thirty years ago came back to her life. Her son Robert Smith shared the story of how he and his son, Travis Ryan Smith, visited his mother one Christmas and brought a special gift that gave this sweet lady a teary eye.

Reportedly, the sweet lady wrote this song about 30 years ago and recorded it on a cassette tape, so when her son and grandson listened to it for the first time, they came up with an idea to make a cover of the song and freshen lady’s memories. Travis has been recording some music as a hobby, so when dad pitched him the idea to get the lyrics and make a cover, he was genuinely interested.

In this emotional clip, we have the honor to witness the adorable moment when Robert and Travis present their loved mom and granny with the finished product recorded based on her song. Of course, her reaction was priceless!

In addition, talented Travis writes his own songs and makes recordings, which he sings in a deep mellow voice, best-suited for country music. Robert’s mom wrote the song “Fishing in the Sky” and recorded it on a cassette tape back in the days. Obviously, when she heard the cover version of her old song, she bursted in tears of joy and sang along!
