Frenemies… That is perhaps how one could possibly describe Felix Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann’s relationship. Close friends at times, inspired by each other compositions and performances; yet, there outstanding talents at times pitted one against the other.

Despite that, they respected what each other provided to the music world. So, let’s look at some of their pieces and see if you think one outshone the other… Or, perhaps it just depends on what piece you are listening too.
