Israeli forces capture senior Hamas commander’s HQ

Israeli soldiers claim to have taken a Hamas headquarters in Khan Younis and the tunnels below, according to new footage released by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF). What was once, on the surface, an ordinary-looking residential building was also the entrance to a large underground tunnel network.

The raid, documented in the video, also shows the IDF finding, and rummaging through what was apparently the office of Mohammad Sinwar, brother of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar. Mohammad, the younger of the Sinwar brothers, had faked his own death in 2014 in order to avoid capture by Israeli special forces, and while ‘dead’ was allegedly masterminding the October 7 attacks on Israel, which sparked the current conflict.
