The full meeting of the Fairfield County Commissioners' weekly meeting for January 30, 2024. This week's Rogue Media Reports recording of the meeting began in-progress after the livestream had already begun. Note: This meeting was held in the evening at 7:00pm.

The meeting began with the Lancaster Festival update with Deb Connell. Next, Healthy Aging Grant recipients were recognized with Jobs and Family Services Deputy Director, Heather O’Keefe. Recipients and their representatives included:
United Way, Christine Simmons
Meals on Wheels, Anna Tobin
Salvation Army, Major Bryan DeMichael
New Horizons Mental Health, Elizabeth Chalfant
Center for Independence, Josh Stevens

Public Comments started at 32:40 and ran through 50:11. Sue Mazzarini of Liberty Township started off comments by asking the commissioners to act on the various township resolutions to create an exclusionary zone.

Next came non-resident activist Field Representative for the Ohio Land and Liberty Coalition, Nick Bundren who spoke in defense of property rights by pointing out the costs of being a farmer are on a continual rise and solar is a great way to defer their costs. https://www.landandlibertycoalition.com/

Ray Stemen of Lancaster spoke about being thankful for senior resources and to the Lord since he is now in his 90s. Ray went on to talk about author and Ohio native Tom DeWeese and his works about United Nations Agenda 21 and how that fits in with issues facing the county. Jeff Williamson of Baltimore (Greenfield Township) referenced past commission meetings where according to his research of minutes/agendas that the Commissioners were retaining some environmental scientists to provide a solar and wind study, but that he (Mr. Williamson) could not find any record of that actually occurring. https://citizensforfairfields.org/

Sherry Pymer of Millersport shared information from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, indicating the inaccuracy of temperature reading as related to "global warming/climate change" and went on to ask the Commissioner for solar exclusionary zones.

Lastly, Judy Stemen of Lancaster, spoke about how this nation was meant to have political power come from the people, but that the current system is inverting that and what the Commissioners are doing to make sure the Constitution is being followed.

The remainder of the meeting were items related to the regular County Administrative Update(s) and the commission's "voting pattern".
