This is the unbelievable moment a woman in LA clung to the hood of a speeding car, in an attempt to save her beloved dog from thieves. Ali Zacharias was having lunch with her French bulldog Onyx by her feet, when a stranger led the dog away by his leash. The thief jumped into a waiting car and sped off, but not before Zacharias was able to get in front of the car and try to stop it. The car plowed into her, knocking her onto the hood, where she stayed for several blocks until a sharp turn caused her to lose her grip.

‘It was horrifying, as he started to go faster and faster I’m like, ‘I’m about to die. This is my death. Right now. I’m about to die,’ Zacharias told local media.

The car sped off with Onyx still inside, and the dog remains missing. It’s thought Onyx was targeted as French bulldogs can sell for over $1,000 due to their popularity. Police are searching the area, and Zacharias is offering a reward for Onyx’s safe return.
