The MC5 is an American rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan and originally active from 1964 to 1972. The original band line-up consisted of vocalist Rob Tyner, guitarists Wayne Kramer and Fred "Sonic" Smith, bassist Michael Davis, and drummer Dennis Thompson. "Crystallizing the counterculture movement at its most volatile and threatening", according to Allmusic critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine, the MC5's far left political ties and anti-establishment lyrics and music positioned them as emerging innovators of the punk movement in the United States. Their loud, energetic style of back-to-basics rock 'n' roll included elements of garage rock, hard rock, blues-rock, and psychedelic rock.
Michigan based MC5 (= Motor City 5; Motor City = Detroit) was one of the first bands who started a prototype of what would later be called punk rock today also known as protopunk. Founded by the two friends and guitarists Wayne Kramer and Fred "Sonic" Smith, the band is best known for the controversial song "Kick Out The Jams" from their debut album. The whole album was recorded live with audience on December 31st at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit a novelty for a debut album, but MC5s label, Elektra Records, recognized that the band were at their best when playing live. And soon went into some trouble with the title track: Vocalist Rob Tyner started the song with the words "All right now, its time to Kick out the jams, motherfuckers!" before the opening riffs. For the single release and radio play the line was later re-recorded as "Kick out the jams, brothers and sisters". During the years the song was covered by various artists in different musical styles, from hard rock (Blue Öyster Cult), hardcore (Bad Brains) and stoner rock (Monster Magnet) to Swedish death metal (Entombed) and Japanese garage punk (Guitar Wolf).

MC5 earned national attention with their first album, Kick Out the Jams, recorded live on October 30 and 31, 1968, at Detroit's Grande Ballroom. Elektra executive Jac Holzman and producer Bruce Botnick recognized that MC5 were at their best when playing for a receptive audience. Containing such songs as the proto-punk classics "Kick Out the Jams" and "Rocket Reducer No. 62 (Rama Lama Fa Fa Fa)", the spaced-out "Starship" (co-credited to Sun Ra because the lyrics were partly cribbed from one of Ra's poems), and an extended cover of John Lee Hooker's "Motor City Is Burning" wherein Tyner praises the role of the Black Panthers during the Detroit riots of 1967. Critic Mark Deming writes that Kick out the Jams "is one of the most powerfully energetic live albums ever made ... this is an album that refuses to be played quietly."

Marvin Gaye - Right On - 1971

Marvin Gaye was many things. A chronicler of the times, a believer, a sexual healer and a superstar musician but, above all else, he was a man who aimed to touch the souls of people around the world. “Right On” is his cry of support for those who find compassion in their hearts and do what they can to help their fellow man.
While What’s Going On follows a concurrent style that allows each track to bleed into the next, giving it the illusion of one lengthy song, “Right On” has a distinctively Latin soul sound to it. It is also the longest song on the album.
Album: "What's Going On" (May 21st, 1971)

"Bullet" is the second single released by the horror punk band the Misfits. The four tracks comprising the EP were recorded, along with thirteen others, in early 1978 for the proposed Static Age album. When the band could not find a record label to release the album, they instead released four of the songs as "Bullet" on singer Glenn Danzig's label Plan 9 Records. The songs were re-released in different versions over subsequent years, until Static Age was finally released in its entirety in 1996.

Misfits - American Psycho - 1997 - Official Music Video
MotorHeads: Music, Videos, Media
This is the reason they named this album this!
American Psycho is the fourth studio album by the American punk rock band Misfits. Recorded in January of 1997, released on May 13, 1997, it was the first to be recorded and released without the band's founder and former leader Glenn Danzig. Bassist Jerry Only, after years of litigation, reached a settlement with Danzig and was granted the rights to use the band's name and image to record and perform. The album also marked the addition of singer Michale Graves and Dr. Chud on drums.
