Boy ‘lights gas stove’ with his finger (and static electricity)

Remember how you used to stick a balloon to the wall after rubbing it on your sweater? Imagine that, but now with added fire. The result? A viral video which has convinced many on the internet that this boy is, in fact, a wizard. (Spoiler alert: he is not a wizard)

In this possibly ill-advised but awesome trick, the boy gets his friend to cover him in a blanket, pulling it away quickly and generating a small charge of static electricity, which he uses to light the gas stove. Cue jokes aplenty about being ‘lit’ and ‘gaslighting.’

A cool party trick, but can we once again state, for the record, that he is not a wizard.
