We Rented a Pontoon Boat! Fontana Lake Bryson City, NC - Great Smoky Mountains National Park

June 2023 - If you plan to vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains during the summer and are looking for water activities I have a great suggestion for you! Fontana Lake is a beautiful reservoir just outside Bryson City, NC surrounded by the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The water is clear and cold. We rented a 22 foot pontoon boat with a tube from Fontana Village Resort Marina. The guys running the marina were very nice and friendly. It was a pleasure dealing with them and we thoroughly enjoyed the four hours we spent on the lake. I highly recommend Fontana Village Resort Marina to anyone wanting to spend a day or part of a day on a rented boat like we did.
