Your right to an NHS doctor is being scrapped to suit big business!

The Tories are rolling out 'fake doctors' in the form of physician's associates to get around doctor shortages and cut NHS budgets.
Right, so how many of you still have an NHS dentist I wonder? Any of you? Well how do you fancy that being the future for seeing a doctor of a GP? Well it just got passed into law and you probably didn’t hear a damn thing about it. Oh, and if you’re hoping a future Labour government will reverse this change, forget it, because Sir Abstains-a-lot Keir Starmer had his party sit on their hands and let it pass. We know there is a chronic shortage of doctors and other health professionals, we know it takes years to train them and yet the Tories have said they can pretty much magic them up and solve the problem, but their solving the problem is to inflict medically untrained people into the role doctors were doing and this is so incredibly dangerous, the fact it is going barely reported at all is a travesty, but considering the solutions all involve someone making money as well, this should be seen for what it is and called for what it is – the role of the doctor is being scrapped to suit big business and certainly not to provide us with an operational NHS actually staffed my medically trained professionals.
Right, so what’s happened then Damo? Well what we have here is the exposure of the Tories masterplan to solve the doctors crisis whilst still selling the NHS off to vested interests, by creating new roles for medically untrained people, but they’ll make you think they are doctors even though they aren’t. What the Tories have just done is give oversight to their newly created roles of PA’s and AA’s – nothing to do with Personal Assistants or Alcoholics Anonymous, they are actually competent and useful – in this case the abbreviations stand for Physician’s Associate and Anaesthetist Associate – you can basically think of them as fake doctors and fake anaesthetists, so would you want to see one if you were admitted to hospital? There are also Nursing Associates out there too. The word associate will become synonymous with not trained. These roles are already in existence but to make you think they are legitimate, oversight for them, via backdoor legislation, has been foisted onto the General Medical Council, the GMC as far as their registration goes. The GMC is for fully trained doctors only, not for non medical staff, but by legislating otherwise, the Tories are pulling a fast one. The roles have only recently come into existence, this latest move is more about fooling the general public into thinking they’ll be seeing someone medically trained when they aren’t, but already there have been 2 deaths linked to PA’s, one where an embolism got mistakenly diagnosed as a calf strain and another where a serious heart condition got put down to being a panic attack. There will be more deaths that follow and this is intentional, because when we need more doctors, when we know there is a shortage, when many are retiring, the training still isn’t happening. In the case of GPs, 6000 properly, medically trained doctors were held back from taking such roles, so that PA’s can fill them instead, who are cheaper. Above all else they are cheaper.Show more
