ABC News has decided to cancel its Republican presidential primary debate in New Hampshire on Thursday, following Nikki Haley’s announcement that she would not participate in further debates unless front-runner Donald Trump is present.

The network released a statement, stating, “Our intent was to host a debate coming out of the Iowa caucuses, but we always knew that would be contingent on the candidates and the outcome of the race.” The spokesperson added, “As a result, while our robust election coverage will continue, ABC News and WMUR-TV will not be moving forward with Thursday’s Republican presidential primary debate in New Hampshire.”

Donald Trump secured a decisive victory in the Iowa Caucus on Monday, marking the first contest of the 2024 presidential nomination. Nikki Haley claimed the third position in Iowa with 19.1% of the vote, CNBC reported.
