In the first excursion into Fort Bend County, I stop by the site of the "Old Fort", otherwise known as Fort Bend. I also look at a few things revolving around Mirabeau B. Lamar, former President of the Republic of Texas. The one constant in the majority of early Texas history makes an appearance here as well. Can you guess what that constant is?
