Legislation born in Minnesota should serve as a model for the nation's election systems. This is how to make it both easy to vote and hard to cheat.

Many states are running election systems that were designed in the 19th century, and where they've been updated, it's inconsistent patchwork that's full of holes.

21st Century Voter ID merges simple photo ID identification cards with common computer technology to create a more efficient, more secure election system for modern times.

This proposal is for a system that is objectively better for everyone except election cheaters. Voters, administrators, candidates and courts ALL benefit from 21st Century Voter ID.

This updated video was originally produced to support HF210/SF590, the Voter ID bill from Minnesota's 2011 legislative session. That bill was authored by Rep. Mary Kiffmeyer (R-Big Lake, MN), who was formerly the Minnesota Secretary of State. Senator Warren Limmer carried the companion bill and passed in both chambers, but vetoed by Democrat governor, Mark Dayton.

21st Century Voter ID remains the model Election Integrity Watch advocates for the nation's various election systems to adopt.

21st Century Voter ID enables faster registration and eligibility checks, as well as facilitating secure Election Day registration. It can prevent duplicate voting as well as voting by ineligible people, such as non-citizens. It prevents errors, helps administrators with record-keeping and meeting legal deadlines, eliminates long lines and confusion in polling places and, prevents fraud and inspires voter confidence.

After you watch this video, please contact your law makers and see how you can make this system a reality in your jurisdiction.
