3 Vehicle Accident, Multiple Hospitalized, 1 Person Flown, BLANCHARD, January 11, 2024 - At approximately 1:45 pm on January 11, 2024, a black 2010 Nissan Maxima, driven by Arthur William Oldner, 90, of Livingston, was east-bound on FM-2457. Oldner was waiting to make a left turn into Lake Livingston RV Park when he was slammed from behind by a tan 1998 Chevy pickup driven by Stormi Gail Cook, 36, of Livingston. The impact pushed Oldner's vehicle into the oncoming west-bound lane as he was slammed again by a white 2020 GMC Terrain driven by Terry Lynn Wilson, 70, of Livingston. Cook's pickup left the pavememnt to the right and came to rest in the weeds, Oldner's vehicle was spun around facing west and came to rest on the pavement, and Wilson's west-bound vehicle left the pavement to the right and came to rest on the front lawn of Lake Livingston RV Park. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Corporal Marcus Bailey with the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Cotye Lowrie and Johnny Wilkerson with the Texas Highway Patrol. A Life Flight helicopter landed on 2457 and flew Oldner to Herman Hospital in Houston, Cook and male passenger, and Wilson were all transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All traffic on 2457 was blocked during investigation, flight operations, and cleanup. Cook was cited for failure to control speed, no driver's license, and no insurance. Additionally, pocket scales, baggys, and methamphetamine was found in Cook's pickup (which will mean more charges). All three vehicles were recovered by Dan's Towing out of Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol.
