Final Fantasy Tactics

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 1) The Zodiac Brave Story. I must review this game. This qualifies for the channel here because, as we all know, Final Fantasy 9 is the best one, so perhaps not completely underrated but a hidden gem for sure. Many gamers nowadays will look at the angular graphics and not even give this title a second glance. This game is one-of-a-kind, I assure you. There's a lot to talk about right up front at the beginning here, so I hope y'all like to read.
{Editors' Note: Hey Rumble, why does this private video have so many views on it?}

Soldier Akademy

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 2) I can't really talk about the story here until Chapter 2 for reasons. In the meantime, I'll talk about stuff now that I'll be too wound up in the story to talk about later on. So, when I was in 5th grade going to Catholic school, we had to choose an elective for our curriculum, either French or Music. I didn't want to do either one, but I had a choice to make. I bought this game with some allowance money that I had saved up and this soundtrack blew me away. The upbeat, classical stylings of Nobuo-san, the composer, on every single track in this title was simply incredible. This game's soundtrack perhaps single-handedly got me into music and I've been practicing and writing music ever since. I didn't really get into music until 9th grade, but I digress. This soundtrack is fucking fantastic.
3
Bombshell

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 3) The character in this game named Gekokujo (his nickname is Ramza for story reasons) has 3 siblings, 2 half-brothers Dycedarg and Zalbaag (spelling might be a little off) and a half-sister (Alma). Ramza was born of Barbaneth Beoulve, a noble father and a commoner mother. His 3 other siblings are children of their shared noble father and a noble mother (that has already passed away by the sound of it). Now that their father has passed away, the world is theirs to make better, as nobles, as their father wished. Also, Bombshell from the Fallout 4 sneak peak tests will be joining us for this adventure.
4
Il Jaguaro Nero

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 4) Argath is a noble from a disgraced noble family that seems nice enough. He is a bit annoying though with all his talk of honor and high-status, yet when we met him, we had to save him from getting his ass kicked by petty thugs, (I might call him Algus on accident, that's an old translation).
Also, Ukyo Tatsuya, the Black Jaguar, sometimes called the Mad Dragon of Kamurocho joins us from the mean streets of downtown Tokyo... somehow. He's proud, full of righteous philosophy, and doesn't use shields because he is Japanese.
5
Radio Silence

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 5) There's trouble in Dorter Trade City, Dorter Slums. Who better to travel with than Lara Croft. Bit of a spoiler: she's in character, believe it or not there are guns in this game.
{Editors' Note: No idea what happened to the audio here, I will not be re-recording. And just after gushing on and on about the soundtrack too, sorry about that Nobuo-san.}
6
Courier Ira

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 6) Direct from the Mojave Desert to the deserts of Ivalice, Courier Ira joins us from New Vegas. I'm not entirely sure how all these characters are getting here, but they are here. God wills it.
{Editors' Note: I figured out the audio issue, I wanted to make a small downward adjustment in gain, because I found a gain slider, and somehow the slider got turned all the way off during the recording... I had to splice 2 videos together to make it less weird but I fixed it.}
7
Dr. Gordon Freeman, Ph.D.

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 7a) Dycedarg is just giving off the appearance of being pissed off because we didn't listen to him. We did the right thing, and rescued a war hero, and potentially made and ally, and impressed Duke Larg (who is very close to the king). This was a great outcome. Also, Dr. Freeman joins us, straight outta G-Man's stasis for a small assignment before his next actual assignment.
8
Wiegraf

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 7b) Choppin' and shoppin'. So, Marquis de Elmdore (the guy we are rescuing with the white hair), he is a lord (homeowner) of another castle and land called Limberry over to the east. Similar to how Zalbaag and Dycedarg are lords of Eargros/Igros. Elmdore is a 50 Year War, war hero and a nice guy to have to owe us a favor.
9
A Squire's Tale

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 8) Eargros Castle was sacked, Delita's sister was kidnapped, brother Dycedarg was injured during the attack, Argath talked shit and got hit, and now our squad is the main raiding party for the counter-assault on the Corpse Brigade's base of operations, Ziekden. Things are accelerating.
{Editors' Note: I haven't a clue why no one in this game has a nose. Perhaps it's genetic.}
10
Delita

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 9) This is a period piece, obviously. The story is supposed to take place in an alternate reality of the Spanish Inquisition that just so happens to be full of magick users, so late 1400's - early 1500's Europe. High-fantasy Middle Ages, if you will. Delita is supposed to be Spanish (from Spain) I believe. I dunno what the fuck kinda last name Beoulve is but I assume they are supposed to be French Catholics. Most of the bad guys have a British accent, although I think they are supposed to be like pirates and not English. So, there is an amalgamation of, to my knowledge, accurate European history here from a bunch of Japanese writers and developers and programmers that are near completely removed from European culture and history. I mean, every named character in this game is pitch fucking perfect. I love it.
11
Windmill

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 10) Courier Ira and Dr. Gordon Freeman are becoming the MVP's of our little taskforce here. Wiegraf might be a little too clever for his own good, too.
{Editors' Note: For Courier Ira, the idea is the fire magicks are supposed to be thrown bombs and for Dr. Gordon Freeman, the lightning magicks are supposed to be the blue stream from the ghostbuster gun. It weirdly makes sense.}
12
Fort Ziekden

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 11) This is the turning point of the entire story. This is what sets everything else in motion, right here.
13
Reminiscing

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 12) So, that central tower at Fort Zeikden that Galagros or whatever crawled into after getting shot by Argath was filled to the brim with gunpowder. After the battle between my forces and Argath's hired knights, Galagros (or whatever, the guy who kidnapped Delita's sister Tietra) lit all that powder. I don't think that point was put across clearly, so I wanted to clarify.
{Editors' Note: I see what is artistically being done here with the writing. The Original Final Fantasy Tactics English translation was awful. This is a re-done and better translation. The problem is, the original was in modern English and this one is supposed to be like Shakespearean old-timey English. It sounds cool, but because Japanese doesn't translate to any English very well, a lot is lost in translation.}
14
Gaffgarion and Agrias

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 13) Gaffgarion and Agrias represent two sides of the same coin. Gaffgarion is a magickal bullshit swordsman that stands for nothing other than what contract pays more. Agrias is a magickal bullshit swordswoman (or whatever) that is principled and honorable serving only what she has deemed important enough for her prowess and skill as a knight. She will destroy evil and protect royalty, for instance. This makes for an interesting dynamic within the party, especially with the complexity of Ramza's situation going on.
{Editors' Note: I had to do a ton of power leveling off-screen because my squad was severely underleveled, I mean Bombshell was level 2 at the beginning of chapter 2. Also, for future reference, I will not be using any bullshit magic swordsmen or women out of choice, unless they are guests or something. I also won't be using Calculators for this playthrough.}
15
Interception

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 14) Long time no see, sir. I also distributed Agrias's and Gaffgarion's awesome equipment amongst the squad because I thought it was a good idea to do. As it turns out, that was a great idea.
16
Mustadio

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 15) This young man seems to be in a lot a bad trouble. He is also defending his life with a firearm so you already know he's gonna be featured on this channel.
{Editors' Note: Gaffgarion is assho.}
17
Gameplan

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT 16) Our squad is now on the run from both law and lawless. The Northern Order (or the Hokuten) is the Beoulve's army that is now against us and gaining ground. Mustadio explained before this part in a video that got corrupted, the powerful and rich Baert Company, run by an evil man named Ludovich out of the city Goug to the south is after him and has captured his father for an unmentioned reason. It's a secret why and Mustadio intends to keep it that way. He did mention a "Cardinal Delacroix" of Lionel also to the south could assist with protecting the princess. That's the plan, now lets stick to it.
18
Cardinal Delacroix

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 17) That was nice of them to allow us in. For a squad of guys on clearly on the run with the Princess with them is questionable at best, but the Church's doors are open to all. The Glabodos Church is obviously an allegory to the Spanish Inquisition era Catholic Church. I'm so confident in saying this that I will add, it would be weirder if the Glabodos Church or whatever here wasn't the Catholic Church circa late 1400's - late 1500's, plus or minus a little artistic license from the game's developers (you'll see).
{Editors' Note: There are a number of references to powerful ancient people that save humanity here. None of them are about Christ Jesus or the Apostles. St. Ajora isn't Jesus, nobody in this game is Jesus, Jesus is Jesus and no one in this game is talking about Him at any point. Just to be clear. No blasphemy here, just a good story.}
19
The Auracite

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 18) Auracite is a type of crystal, I believe. This auracite in this game is a very specific type of stone or crystal with some sort of magick contained within it, if Mustadio is to be believed. He said simply being around the ancient machines, like airships, in the city of Goug with the auracite makes them howl. Weird. The Cardinal seems to have one like Mustadio does, too. After we get past this swamp, we will meet up with some of the Cardinal's troops to save Musatdio's father.
{Editors' Note: The combat in this game is based on 12 zodiac signs (I know there are 13). Every character in the game is given a zodiac sign that is then used in calculations to determine a lot of stuff in the game like healing strength and damage from attacks, and characters with certain signs are strong against some signs and weaker against other signs. I don't know how any of that works, so I will just make my troops as strong and magickal (?) as possible so that isn't even an issue.}

20
Slums of Goug

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 19) When a plan fails, that means it's time to improvize.
{Editors' Note: I am aware that Goug sounds like "Gog" from the Bible. That is from the book of Ezekiel (I believe), as in the nations of Gog and Magog, which is surprisingly a pretty apt biblical story as reference if that is, in fact, what the name of this town is.}
21
The Mighty Current

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 20) What the hell are you playing at, Delita? I know what you're saying about the big tide, but your plans are unclear to me, you keep showing up randomly where I am at, and you're playing a dangerous game getting involved with the Princess. Don't do anything stupid, I could use all the help I can get right now.
22
Begone, Vile Creatures

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 21) I generally do these random encounters off-screen, but for some reason this time I wanted to show a little of the grind. Let me know if y'all just want just the story and not the random battles or if this is cool.
23
The Judge, The Jury, And The Executioner

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 22) "We're not filming a fuckin' Western here." Also, we get a little more background on story exposition that, perhaps, should have been made more clear like, 10 fucking hours ago.
{Editors' Note: Yoink!}
24
Vengence

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 23) Yes, Gaffgarion, let's settle this difference like men... By working on cars together, oh wait. Also, the poet Wiegraf swears revenge on me for him and his sister being violent criminals by working with Loffrey, a hooded weirdo, typical.
25
At The Gates Of Lionel

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 24) Gaffgarion, my crew and I could steal weapons from you all day long, son. You come back round again now, ya hear?
{Editors' note: Gordon teleporting over to the castle gate switch through the closed door to open it up, like I wanted to, would have been amazing. The teleport skill is finicky though.}
26
Evacuation

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 25) Y'all, I really don't want to play as Delita. It is quite a cool feature and map and encounter that was absent in the original though. There are going to be a few of these that I will make remarks about because the developers of this remake of the game has added content to fill in plot holes and generally prevent confusing the audience. That ladies and gentlemen is called due diligence.
27
Not Today, Cardinal Delacroix

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 26) Not much to say on this until after you watch this part. I'm not saying a word, but I'll write more on it after this section here. All I can say is this is when the game enters the main action. This is the point in an anime when the cat girl shows up.
{Editors' Note: Happy Mardi Gras! That's a Catholic holiday, sort of.}
28
Cuchulain, The Impure

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 27) So now we obviously gotta talk about Japanese demons. There are several demons in Japanese mythology, which this game takes heavy inspirations from, but the one this game focuses in on is the yokai demon. The yokai is a specific type of minor demon that "canonically" cannot exist in our Earth realm or 3-dimentional space and time or whatever, this reality. The way these yokai demons enter in here is by taking on a weak human host like a husk that they wear, or a puppet.
This weakened human is weakened by habitually committing evil acts like deception, betrayal, theft, and murder for example, much like Cardinal Delacroix. This weakens the human's spirit and allows the yokai to take complete control of the weakened human (hijacking their mind and body, essentially) and in some cases can enter this realm in their place, much like Cuchulain did.
{Editors' Note: Not much is happening here story-wise. Delita has successfully snuck into Duke Goltanna's ranks somehow, either this new guy Orran or Cardinal Delacroix might be a representative of Russian Orthodox Catholics (unless I'm completely wrong about that), and we are going meet up with my brother, for some reason.}
29
This War Of Yours

GekokujoWarGaming
(Part 28) Why the hell are we talking to Zalbaag right now? The last time we saw him, he put a hit out on us. Zalbaag told Argath to kill Ramza, Delita, Tietra, and the rest of the squad at Fort Ziekden. Anyway, at least Alma is here.
{Editors' Note: Before any of my Irish viewers say anything, I am aware that the fat, gluttonous demon that can eat you with the mouth full of teeth it has in it's belly is part of Irish folklore. Cuchulain is actually a demon from Irish folklore that I remember my grandfather that was 100% pureblood Irish told me when I was quite young. So, when I played this Japanese game when I was in like 5th grade and saw the stomach mouth demon, I was a little blown away, not gonna lie.}
30
Inquisitor Zalmour

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 29) Uh, with all due respect Inquisitor, get the fuck out of my face or you will be trampled underfoot. You don't even know the specifics of the charges you are bringing forth against me.
31
The Real Mercenary Work

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 30) Oddjobs here and there and everywhere. Alma mentioned possibly seeing a Zodiac auracite at the Orbonne Monetary where she and Ovelia went to school together. The only problem is, to learn that information we had to agree to take our little sister with us.
{Editors' Note: With the stabbing of the fat king by a left-handed warrior, my Judge Ehud allegory is complete. "Ehud reached with his left hand, drew the sword from his right thigh and plunged it into the king’s belly. Even the handle sank in after the blade, and his bowels discharged. Ehud did not pull the sword out, and the fat closed in over it." Judges 3 : 21-22.}
32
Orbonne Monastery

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 31) That stone better be here, Alma. I don't want to put you an any further danger that we are already in. We should keep moving around to a minimum until we have a better plan.
33
Izilud

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 32) I dunno who you are supposed to be, but it's the stone or your life. You stole the Zodiac Stone from this Monastery and I intend to have it returned, by any means necessary.
34
35
The Scriptures

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 34) I might as well read through the scriptures that Elder Simon gave me. At the very least to see what all the fuss is about.
36
Enlightenment

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 35) See? St. Ajora isn't even a real historical figure in-game. The Zodiac Braves and St. Ajora (who is a clear allegory of Buddha and not Jesus) is a made up story that the Glabados Church is using and telling the members of the congregation to keep political power with the church and away from royalty. This story is getting more Lutheran by the second.
{Editors' Note: Uh, Luso, I don't know who you are but don't think you are a main character now because this is the last we are going to be hearing from you.}
37
Behind The Scenes

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 36) I probably could have left this part out and it would flow a little better with the story, but I decided to leave it in. Because right now it's like, "my sister's been kidnapped! But everybody hold up while I train a little and work for a couple of months at my job." It should be fine though. If Wiegraf, or whoever, wants the scriptures, they'll just have to keep Alma alive.
{Editors' Note: No Legend this weekend, next weekend though, for sure.}
38
AWOL

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 37) Sorry, but you can't buy your freedom with my head. Not without a fight, anyway.
(Editors' Note: Didn't mean to drag my feet so much here, I want to get some last-minute job points in before we get to Riovaines Castle or whatever.}
39
Favor

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 38) The only people that want this war have something to gain. The normal, everyday folk don't want it, we want peace.
{Editors' Note: Stop calling Ramza a heretic, y'all. He is doing everything he is supposed to do, and being a good Catholic in the process. Do you guys want Ramza to become goth? Because this is how you get Ramza to become goth.}
40
Sibling Rivalry

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 39) This woman appears to be in trouble. I'm a simple man, when a lady is in trouble, I help out. Even against her own brother.
41
Divine Ruination

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT 40) This fight seems pretty pointless, I guess this is to show that Delita is a full-knight now or something. Or that Delita will protect the princess on his own.

42
Over The River, And Through The Woods

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 41) I'm not sure I understand Rafa's magickal powers. I think the spell hits randomly in whichever panel of 5 squares it is targeting, which is inconsistent and therefore annoying, but it is quite a powerful array of spells. I'd much prefer something with less damage that I know where it will land than something more powerful with less accuracy. Maybe that's just me.
43
Dr. Gordon Freeman, Ph.D.

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 42) Totally forgot to even introduce one of our main powerhouses in this series. Sorry about that, doctor.
Direct from G-Man's stasis field following the events at Black Mesa, Dr. Gordon Freeman joins us. After getting his action movie star whistle wet by escaping from the Black Mesa research facility proceeding the multi-dimensional resonance cascade, he's ready to defeat more alien demon things. The good doctor doesn't talk much, but there's no one I'd rather have on my side when the excrement impacts an industrial cooling device.
{Editors' Note: I just realized I did introduce the good doctor way earlier in this series, but I'll give him a second introduction. So a nice, I'll say a his name twice.}

44
Duel

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 43) Your pseudo-sociology won't save you now, Wiegraf. You drew a sword on me and now your ass is grass, I'll be emptying out my gun into you. Also, don't base your entire life's philosophy on a person or a people. It's very important that your ideals come from something that can't be shot with a gun or run through with a sword. Doesn't matter what person manipulates and what person is manipulated if they can be killed. You won't be able to run Christianity through with a sword or shoot it to death. Christ is eternal, that's the entire point.
{Editors' Note: Entrance fee for some well paying jobs: ~11,000 gil.
The Virgo Zodiac Stone from the Brave Story: 1 billion gil.
Wearing your little sister's red shoes into battle: Priceless.}

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 44) Not today, Lucavi.
{Editors' Note: And to answer your question, Wiegraf, I may have weakness, but I have no fear.}

Twin Assassins

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 45) And not even the twins you're thinking of, different twins.
{Editors' Note: Sorry about the slow gameplay at the end there. My mouse broke during this video.}

Zodiac Stones

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 46) These auracite stones seems to have more to them than I gave credit for. It seems these stones simply amplify the personality and consciousness of the wielder. Cardinal Delacroix was a power-hungry murderer and became Cuchulainn, whereas Wiegraf was a pathetic idiot who strived for strength, so he became Belias. It weirdly makes sense because each got what they both wanted in a way satisfying to either person. The Cardinal became so powerful that it literally consumed himself and Wiegraf became so wise that he forgot that a squad of badasses was right in front of him.
Yet Marach being of mostly good character, if you excuse his screwed up early upbringing, was saved by the stone and his personality largely unaffected by the magick contained within the stone. It seems good people, like Marach and Rafa, can use the stones' power for good, it's just that a bunch of evil characters have many of the 12 stones with them literally in their possession.
48
Oddjobs

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 47) Sorry Alma, but this work isn't gonna do itself. As long as I have the Scriptures and the magickal bullshit knights want the scriptures, they will keep Alma alive. This is totally not an excuse to display more awesome digital art.
49
Border Crossing

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 48) If only there was some physical barrier that could be built to prevent people entering and leaving your lands at will. Something ... like a wall...
Anyway, now introducing Goth Ramza. Sorry Dad, the whole Knight thing isn't working out and it's getting Alma kidnapped over and over again so I'm becoming a mage.
50
Meliadoul

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 49) You know there is a fierce rivalry between two combatants when one combatant responds to the other with, "Who are you?" Really intimidating there, chick.
Wait, wait, wait, hold on, the Church is giving orders to people? Orders to do what? Dammit.
51
Poacher

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT 50) I think the Poach skill would be more accurately translated to "Skin Animal" or even "Carve" but poach is fine, I don't technically have a license.
{Editors' Note: Y'all already know Lara was gonna get that sword and accessory.}
52
Old Friend

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 51) So the Church is serious about labeling Ramza a heretic. I thought that was a one time thing that Zalmour was just saying to insult us, but apparently it's like being wanted: dead or alive in this universe. I'm totally going Goth now. Also, we get to fight alongside Delita again, perhaps for the last time.
53
Flash In The Pan

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 52) This templar knight named Barich is soooo sweet! He is nice enough to travel all the way to the desert me and my squad is passing through, bringing his awesome magick gun with him for Lara to steal, and is making me feel like a genius by spouting some Marxist trash philosophy. This is a well-needed detour as a bit of an ego boost, if nothing else. We are on the right track and getting stronger.
{Editors' Note: I'm not calling the church's knights in this game Knights Templar, because the actual Knights Templar were real and cool people. I'll call the asshole church knights in this game like Barich, Wiegraf, Izilud, etc. templar knights.}
54
Garrison

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 53) Tatsuya drew the short straw and has to use the bow. Courier Ira actually claimed ownership of the magick gun (for now) because we can't figure out if the Glacial Gun is powered by physical strength, like the other slugthrowers, or magickal strength. My bet is on magickal strength so either Courier Ira or Gordon will be best with it and Ira has more experience with firearms than Gordon does.

Sluice Gate

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 54) Dycedarg has killed Duke Larg. Now, we are flooding an area that is about to be a battlefield if we don't. This is such an important battle in the War of the Lions that stopping it might very well stop the war. Also, sluice gate is just a fun phrase to say, go ahead, say it. It's fun.
56
These Times Are Hard For All

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 55) Delita has killed Duke Goltanna. With both Lions dead, where does that leave the War of the Lions?
57
Double Header

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 56) Word to the wise, if any of you out there are thieves and see a group of people with Ukyo Tatsuya, Courier Ira, Dr. Gordon Freeman, Lara Croft, and me in it, I would recommend not attempting to rob us. We didn't even break a sweat here.
Also, sorry old man, canonically Lara Croft has Excalibur.

Unwilling To Compromize

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 57) The residents of Limberry are some familiar enough faces. Even though we all know by now they are demons wearing human skins. Marquis Elmdore isn't even alive, I heard that he died in battle. These demons aren't even trying to hide that they have commandeered a human body.
{Editors' Note: Holy crap Dycedarg, you killed your own father? What an asshole. That would be crazy if it were true, and this Loffrey character seems to have Dycedarg's number here.}

I'll Need Another Take Two

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 58) So, I might have had a lot to drink before filming this one ... I don't even know what to say, can't win 'em all, I suppose.
{Editors' Note: See?! Folmarv and Elmdore are veterans of the previous 50 Years War and war heroes, but are now just puppets of these yokai demons possessing them. They literally call the bodies they are inhabiting "hosts." This is such an interesting concept y'all, a literal wolf in sheep's clothing. I love it.}
60
Limberry Takeover

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 59) I didn't know Marquis de Elmdore was a vampire, but Marquis de Elmdore being a vampire makes a lot of sense. It's sorta a good way to describe what's going on and it explains the undead aspect of this yokai-infested war hero corpse. I had to take out the twin assassins too because if I have a chance to take out some demons, I will.
{Editors' Note: I think Elmdore and Folmarv or whatever are talking about other demons that are about to show up from "The Rift" which sounds to me like another plane of existence or another realm or another dimension. We Catholics have our work cut out for us.}
61
How? ... Are You Here?

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 60) Speaking of vampires, long time no see old friend. Still stabbing people that save your life in the back? Still pretending to be Mr. Big Billy Badass? You fucking poser.
62
Undercroft

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 61) Undercroft, Lara Undercroft. Anyway, so now we can nab Alma and get the hell out of here.
63
Zalara, the Death Seraph

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 62) Look Meliadoul, it's a shame what happened to your brother and your father, but I told you the truth and you didn't believe me. It took you seeing something to believe what I said instead of trusting me. I dunno what to say. You can journey with us so you can figure out what happened to your family but you are not part of the crew. I still have your sword and perfume, by the way. Also, Alma wasn't there, she must be somewhere else.
{Editors' Note: Seraph (or Seraphim) is an archangel, canonically. Just in case you didn't know.}
64
Cletienne

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 63) I have no idea what this is about. I got into a random encounter when I travelled through Dorter Trade City, and it wasn't even red in color. This ought to be interesting.
65
Rumor Mill

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 64) I could have sworn there was a safe way to do errands around here because Goug and Warjilis Trade City were connected by sea. Maybe I can't do that anymore.

Gollund

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 65) This sell-sword named Beowulf asks to join our party after we accepted a task of hunting down a dragon for this town. He seems capable enough and an extra sword arm is always welcome.
{Editors' Note: Uh, Mustadio, quit playing with your balls and get back to work (LOL).}

So Anyway, I Started Blastin'

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 67) Thanks for the magick gun, chump. Now my team won't have to fight over who gets to use the magickal gun. Not that we did that to begin with. Mo' guns is mo' betta.

Saint George Day

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 68) How many miners am I gonna have to slap around until I get to this "holy dragon?" ... And I mean miners, not minors. Like, grown men that work in a mine...

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 70) That was pretty random. Leading man, huh? I actually kinda like that play on words.
71
Ancient Discoveries

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 71) Very interesting discovery, sir. Ancient machinery that reacts and works with these Zodiac Stones is something I hadn't even thought of being a thing. A combination of technology and magicks could potentially be a very powerful combination.
72
Construct 8

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 72) Courier Ira: "Hey Lara, bestie, I'm borrowing your outfit while your a ninja."
Lara: "Uh, alright, I hope it fits you... "
{Editors' Note: It fits.}
73
Reis and Beowulf

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 73) Oh, Reis is a human being that was somehow turned into a dragon. The power of a certain stone can release her from looking like a dragon and return her to human form, while still retaining the strength of a dragon. That is rad. These stones can accomplish some really good things for people, if we can keep them out of the hands of the templar knights.
74
Cloud Strife

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 74) Straight outta Midgard or whatever, Cloud Strife joins us for this adventure... I think. I'm not entirely sure how, but just roll with it.

(FFT Part 75) What I need is a battlefield.
{Editors' Note: I have real pictures of the eclipse from today, they are all shitty though.}

Bervenia Volcano

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 76) Cloud must have a specific weapon in order to use his powerful abilities in this game, sort of reminiscent of more modern Final Fantasy titles. No clue as to how that weapon got here in Ivalice, but I want you to have it and I want to get a hold of it for you. There is no better treasure hunter than Lara, and she is on the move.
{Editors' Note: Maybe Indiana Jones is better...}

Stand Your Ground

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 77) Let's see how this plays out. I didn't even know where I was supposed to go to further the story for a while, there.
78
Adremmelech, The Wroth

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 78) How am I the traitor? You are the one that killed our father, now you are going to pay for that. Also, I don't suppose you know where our sister is? Eat shit, demon.
79
Knock, Knock. Can Alma Come Out To Play?

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 79) So, really quickly, High Confessor Marcel (this same person was named "Funeral" in the original game) is the equivalent of the Pope in this universe, the Commander of the Church of Glabados, if you will. These templar knights are basically the pope's bodyguards or his holiness's private army or something like that. But, if you remember Folmarv and all the other templar knights are compromized. All the templar knights have been possessed by the yokai demons (the Lucavi). This is a huge deal right here.
80
Fake Templar Knights, Three

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 80) Something's not right. This feels wrong. Everyone, don't let your guard down for a second.

Reunited And It Feels So Good!

GekokujoMusic
(FFT Part 82) Aww, Agrias and Oveilia meeting up again is amazing! I don't think they have seen each other since the last time we were at this castle, before Ramza was even branded a heretic. That was a while back.

Gimme A Take 2 On This One

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 83) OK, so maybe I underestimated a bunch of thieves, but that was only because I'm trying to reclaim their rare equipment for myself instead of just eliminating them. Another thing, how is it that 14% is enough to steal something at other times in the game, but here with like a 49% chance I missed over and over?

Brigand's Den

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 84) I know that took a while, both this part and the time to get this video out there, sorry about that. This probably stolen gear all these brigands have is too good to pass up. And they don't die, so you have to take it from them.
85
Just Another Day In Paradise

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 85) Y'all, Beowulf and Reis are so adorable together. I love it!
86
Sir Aliste

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 86) I though we were friends! OK, dick, now you have gone too far, release Reis this instant before I get really angry.
87
Celebrant Bremondt

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 87) This fuckin' guy is a piece of work. Why does he think stealing Reis will make her love him? Beowulf gives of himself freely to Reis and for Reis, that's why she loves Beowulf. Perhaps that's too advanced of a lesson for the Celebrant to ever learn. And why the heck is a Celebrant (like a bishop, I suppose) stealing women to fall in love with them?!

Let's Go Home

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 89) My best friend, you are safe now.
{Editors' Note: That random battle really took the wind out of the sails. This was going to be the best video I ever made, too. Dammit.}
90
The Deep Dungeon

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 89) Usually, I have to at least buy a beer at the bar to get information that good. That was cool.
91
Midlight's Deep

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 90) This place is creepy. There is no other battlefield this dark which really throws off my ability to command and there is supposed to be some rare, buried treasure around here, but I'm having trouble finding it all.
{Editors' Note: The dark setting of this battlefield, with only the crystals that appear upon a characters' death being able to light the map, is ingenious from a gameplay and design perspective, and yet terrifying from a story perspective.}

The Crevasse

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 91) This place is so dark. I believe there is a way to go to lower levels of Midlight's Deep, but I am either doing it wrong or I can't see it, because it is too dark. I'll figure it out.
93
In The Dark

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 92) Still not sure how to go to the lower levels. I know you can, I know it is possible, I know there are in fact lower levels of this evil place. Just don't know how to get there.
94
Decent

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 93) I figured it out, y'all. The game's developers really wanted me to go to each square on the battlefield to find which of the tiles is the hidden "exit tile" to go to the next level of Midlight's Deep. I'm not doing that, that's why God gave us the internet.
95
96
The Hollow

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 95) Deeper, darker, and more dangerous. This place is getting more and more difficult to deal with by the floor, and I mean diffi-cult. You see the levels on these enemies?!

The Catacombs

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 96) I am aware these videos are kinda boring after a while. On the original Playstation 1 title, this part of the game was called the Deep Dungeon, on this version it is called Midlight's Deep. Either way, I have never competed any of these levels and I will do all of them. Finding the exit tiles is quite annoying, though.
98
The Oubliette

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 97) This is by far the most tedious and annoying level of Midlight's Deep so far. Honestly, you can skip this one.

The Pailings

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 98) So, you might not know this because my Ramza was a magick user for most of the game, but Ramza has a special class of Squire that has additional skills and powers. Ramza's Squire can equip heavy armor, has additional offensive and defensive powers, and I believe can even use knight swords. There isn't, but there really should be a special magick user class for Ramza.
100
The Pailings Take 2

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 99) I forgot to find the exit tile, which I shouldn't have to do in the first place. So I gotta do this again.
{Editors' Note: Ramza's special magick-user's class could be called God's Shaman or something, because SquareEnix covered all the other bases with all the other magicks.}
101
The Crossing

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 100) It's tough for these undead creatures to reanimate after Tatsuya poaches them, ha! I feel much more comfortable slaying these monsters than the poor souls of humans that find themselves in this place.
102
The Switchback

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 101) I am ready to leave this place of death. But, we must stop the war hero at the bottom floor of here. Chances are, he is possessed by a Lucavi monster, too, an will wreak havoc on the people of Warjilis Trade City or Lionel Castle one day when a small army capable of defeating him are not around. First, we need to continue downward, into the Earth.
103
The Switchback Take 2

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 102) Second attempt at The Switchback. Apparently, there is some great treasure on this map, so I am going back to this floor to claim it.
104
Terminus

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 103) I'm done with this place of death. Let's kick the shit out of this war hero, get the stone, and get the hell out of here.
{Editors' Note: There is no treasure, get out while you can.}
105
God's Shaman

GekokujoWarGaming

My Wrath

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 105) Joffrey, you have 2 seconds to hand Alma over, you demon. If she isn't by my side by the end of this sentence that I am speaking, I'm going to rip your head off.
107
Joffrey

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 106) Welp, I don't see Alma anywhere. Bring that neck over here, fake templar.
108
Cletienne

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 107) You were always too weak to be taken seriously, demon. Maybe Tatsuya will cut you down with 1 strike again, like he did at our last meeting? Also, only little children believe in magic.
{Editors' Note: I forgot Lara didn't have armor or a weapon.}
109
Barich

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 108) I wanted a second take with a fully-armed and armored Lara, so I got it. Then, Barich is still around, so I get the privilege of taking him out again. Line up as many demons as you got, it won't be enough. Nothing will stop me from bringing my sister back.
110
Hashmal, Bringer Of Order

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 109) Because we all know by now that this... thing is not Lord Folmarv, the war hero, this is Beelzebub. Poor fool has no idea the Fire and Brimstone I'm about to rain down on him.
111
Death Cult

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 110) Hey Alma. Here you go, I brought your red shoes with me, dude. You left them over here the last time I saw you. Sorry that took so long, well, you look good ... considering. Look, just sit back and let me take care of all of this so we can get out of here.
112
Saint Ajora

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 111) I don't care who you are or what depth of Hell you are from, no one is using my sister to fuel their blood sacrifice. See, this little cult of yours is over, this plan is over, and you, demon, are over with. I am taking my sister home no matter who gets in my way, period.
113
The Brute Force

GekokujoWarGaming
(FFT Part 112) I did it, Dad. I saved Alma, and did it my way. I am a Knight now.
Final Fantasy Tactics

(FFT Part 1) The Zodiac Brave Story. I must review this game. This qualifies for the channel here because, as we all know, Final Fantasy 9 is the best one, so perhaps not completely underrated but a hidden gem for sure. Many gamers nowadays will look at the angular graphics and not even give this title a second glance. This game is one-of-a-kind, I assure you. There's a lot to talk about right up front at the beginning here, so I hope y'all like to read.
