How to play Fortnite and Call of Duty on Linux
If you want to play Fortnite reliably (I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to people who swear they can play it on Lutris or Heroic, all evidence to the contrary from what I've seen) on Linux or Call of Duty the best way is going to be GeforceNow. It is a subscription based service and you can run it through Chrome, so in theory any laptop or low spec desktop will be able to play modern games. Only downside I've seen is you won't be gaming at your monitor's native resolution. Also, don't get the geforcenow flatpak or snap application. The mouse tracking is abysmal. From what I've tested it's better to just launch it in Chrome, it does not work on Firefox unfortunately. Here's a video of the games performance. Fortnite can run on a potato , so it did well. Call of Duty felt sluggish and the response was a tad slow vs playing it native on windows. But, if you don't want to game on windows and can adjust your play style, this is an option.
